EPR feels very much like a horizontal combination of Gravity Hook and Rope n Fly—a very good thing. Its also very pretty. Where it falters is its soul-destroying difficulty; it brings the brisk pace of the fantastic initial levels to a screeching halt.
By nature of the games design, ones finger is always blocking the path forward. Despite red warning pegs, enemies can lead to cheap deaths. At level six, their numbers increase dramatically and send the learning curve through the roof. The stingy save system is the straw that makes the camel want to murder somebody.
